Sarah Wilmot Counselling Services provides a confidential counselling service based in Newport, Shropshire.

Offering a safe non-judgemental space which will enable you to explore personal issues, past experiences or difficult relationships.

My name is Sarah and I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor based in Newport, Shropshire.  Although I am predominantly a Person-Centred Counsellor, being ‘integrative’ means that I am able to remain flexible in my approach to meet your needs.  I understand that it can feel difficult to seek help and I aim to make your appointments feel safe and comfortable and I will work at a pace that feels good to you.

My clients have described me as a warm, down to earth, and compassionate person who is a good listener, which is helpful if you are feeling vulnerable, uncomfortable or fearful about sharing your feelings.

I believe in entering our therapeutic relationship with an open mind and I have a keen interest in understanding your past experiences and relationships.  My aim is to create a secure relationship, that is free of judgement and values your individuality.  My belief is that you are the expert on your own life.  Therapy can help you to make sense of relationships, difficult experiences or patterns of behaviour and promote better mental health and wellbeing.

You are invited to bring whatever is present for you and I welcome you to arrive just as you are.

Confidentiality and safety remain at the centre of my work and as a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), I work to their ethical guidelines and attend regular supervision and Continuous Professional Development to support my work.
